First Course
Summer season Tomato “Vol Au Vent” with royal crimson shrimp and frisee paired with the 2023 Cabernet Franc.
Bread Course
Naturally! The honey butter was unimaginable.
Second Course
Mussels in Viognier and Saffron Cream with Charred Fennel.
Plus Hanger Steak and Frites
And probably the most scrumptious corn dish made with Vadouvan Curry and Chanterelles. Paired with the 2022 Petit Verdot that was my favourite wine of the evening!
The ambiance beneath the lights all night was magical! We listened to music by the French bistro jazz band Les Zazous.
Dessert Course
I LOVED the creativity on this course. We thought these shavings have been some sort of candy chocolate however they have been really CHEESE! 18 month comté cheese served over honey ice cream. What a singular and scrumptious mixture! The dessert wine paired was a Petit Manseng.
