How do I use the diffuser? Setting Up: Push the bottle up from the bottom of the diffuser until the piece is removed. Unscrew the bottle included and replace with your diffuser blend. Once the diffuser blend bottle is secured, line up the arrows on the piece and the body of the diffuser and push into place. Getting Started: Time: Turn on the diffuser by pressing and holding the power button on the top right for about 3 seconds (the default time setting is 4 hours). Adjust the time interval settings by tapping the clock button on the top left. Keep tapping to adjust the time setting (30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes). Intensity: Adjust the intensity level by tapping the power button on the top right while the diffuser is on. Keep tapping the power button for higher intensity.

How large of a space does the diffuser fill with scent? The diffuser can power a space up to 450 sq. ft in size, or approximately 42 sq. m. This is approximately the size of a small apartment, or an extra large room.

What does the bundle (diffuser + blend) come with? The diffuser bundle comes with 1 nebulizing diffuser (1 empty 10 ml travel bottle included), 1 bottle of diffuser blend (10ml), 1 USB-C power cord, 2 replacement dip tubes (of different lengths), 1 user manual.

How do the timer buttons work? After the diffuser is switched ON, the diffuser will automatically be set to run for 4 hours. Tap once on the Timer button to turn ON the timer mode to 30 minutes. Tap the Timer button again to increase to 60 minutes. Third tap on the Timer button will increase the duration to 90 minutes. Fourth tap on the Timer button will automatically revert your diffuser to run on its 4 hour time setting before shutting off.

What are the intermittent mist modes? Your diffuser comes programmed with 4 different intermittent mist settings. For detailed instructions on how to select intermittent mist modes: Tap and hold the Power button for 3 seconds to switch ON the diffuser. The green light will turn on; one bar of light is an indication that intermittent mist mode #1 is active. Tap the power button once to enable two bars to light up. Tap the power button again to enable three bars to light up. To compare the different functions of the bar lights: One bar – Diffuse 10 seconds, stop 60 seconds. Two bars – Diffuse 20 seconds, stop 60 seconds. Three bars – Diffuse 30 seconds, stop 60 seconds.

Why isn’t my diffuser turning on? There are a few reasons why you may be experiencing difficulty turning on your diffuser. Here are a few simple troubleshooting suggestions to help you:

Have you charged your diffuser using the included USB-C cable? The diffuser will only charge using a voltage DC 5V cable, which we have included with your device.Have you lined up the white triangle on the cylindrical chamber with the white triangle on the device? The diffuser will not operate correctly without lining up the two white triangles.Have you tried to clean the nozzle? If you are using an essential oil from another brand, we advise that over 80% of essential oils are adulterated, and may result in clogging of the device. To remedy this issue, please clean the nozzle (see instructions on “How and when should I clean my diffuser”) and use only 100% unadulterated pure essential oils with no carrier oils. We cannot certify the composition of other essential oils, and recommend using CandaScent Labs pure essential oil blends to ensure the longevity of your device.

What kind of USB input does the diffuser use? The diffuser charges with a voltage DC 5V USB-C cable, which has been included with your device. Please note that higher voltage cables may not successfully charge your diffuser.

How long does it take for the diffuser to charge? It takes 2-3 hours for the diffuser to fully charge

Does it need to stay plugged in? No, once charged your diffuser can go anywhere with you. Take it from your home, to your car, to any destination you may be traveling to!

Can I dilute my diffuser blend with water or a carrier oil? No, you cannot dilute your diffuser blend with water or carrier oil. The unit is made to atomize small particles of essential oils and not water. If you mix water in, the water and oil will separate and not work as intended. Carrier oils will clog the machine and offer no aromatic benefits.

Can I use a fragrance oil instead of an essential oil? No, we don’t recommend using a fragrance oil. What you breathe and smell matter. At CandaScent Labs, we offer full transparency so you know what molecules you are smelling and breathing in, and what effects they have on your body. We use nature as our guide to formulate for your health and well being. Under the term “Fragrance,” there is no requirement to provide any information about the composition, or require a full list of ingredients as fragrance formulations are considered trade secrets. Synthetics can contain phthalates and parabens that are endocrine disrupting and harmful to your health. Fragrance oils can also clog the machine.

How and when should I clean my diffuser? If the light is on and your diffuser is not functioning, or if you notice less diffusion coming out of your diffuser it is time to clean your diffuser. Clean the nozzle by removing it from the base and removing the tube, attaching a clean bottle filled with rubbing alcohol, placing your finger over the outside port and shaking it to force alcohol into the nozzle area. This will remove any residue buildup that may be preventing the unit from functioning. Replace the tube. You can also fill a clean bottle with some rubbing alcohol and run it for 5-10 minutes. Finally you can wipe your unit down with a soft cloth.
